Honorable Stewart Efe Congratulates Governor Obaseki for Supreme Court Victory.

The immediate past Edo State Commissioner for Communication and Orientation – Honorable Stewart Efe – hopes to use this occasion to call for unity and consolidation amongst all PDP members in Edo state as he congratulates his excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki on his Victory at the Supreme Court today.

“This is a victory for democracy and one that has come at a very crucial time in the life of this adminstration and PDP in Edo State.” He said.

He went further to stress that “Although victory was never in doubt as the Supreme Court verdict started earlier today, yet there was some level of tension amongst party faithfuls as it became clearer that any unfavorable verdict would mean that all we have labored for would be lost at once.

“This suspense that pervaded the air as all party faithfuls awaited the final verdict was shared by all party faithfuls including groups that were at conflict with each other.

“In those hours of waiting for the Supreme Court verdict, there was nothing like ‘old PDP members’ or ‘new PDP members’. We were united in hope, and we all queued behind his excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki.

“This should teach us a lesson – that we are stronger together. And that indeed his excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki is the fulcrum of the party. When he falls, we fall. When he succeeds we succeed.

“We must now put aside all forms of unnecessary in-fighting and pursue the collective interest of the party and his Excellency’s vision of Making Edo Great Again.

“This we must do with a renewed zeal, unity of purpose and loyalty to the party constitution and his excellency the Governor who is the ultimate leader of the party in the State.”
