“The appelicant was allocated zero votes against his name irrespective of the votes in the applicant’s favour in ward 3, 4, 8, 9 and 10 of the Esan South East Local Government Constituency exercise of the 2nd Respondent.
“The 1st Respondent did not emerge from any primary conducted nor consensus arrangement of the 2nd Respondent

A source within the University described the inaugural lecture as “unique because it coincides with the retirement of Professor Olatunji, who will formally bow out of the University’s service on Thursday, May 28, 2026, when he would have clocked the mandatory 70 years permitted by the law for academics to remain in active service.”
The enthusiastic source added that “Professor Olatunji will probably be one of the few lucky academics to have their inaugural lectures as parting gifts on the retirement eve. This type rarely happens and this makes this one a very exceptional occasion.”

"None was presented. Instead, they displayed kangaroo results from those bent on imposing him on Edo South Senatorial District."
“There’s nothing satisfactory about this sham of election they did today and it’s very unfortunate because as a loyal party member, I expected something better than this."
But notably, in the southern zone of the State; aftermath of the consensus arrangement if not well managed, will definitely deal a devastating blow to the wellbeing of the Party not only in the 2027 election, but future elections like the governorship.

Party primaries are not won by threats, blackmail or entitlement. They are won by relationships, respect and the ability to genuinely appeal to party leaders and members.
