In a few hours away from now, the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be locking horns with the Tunisia senior men football team in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco; second game after defeating Tanzania 2-1 on Tuesday.
Both teams will be fighting for their second win to dominate the table in Group C.
But the Tunisia head coach, Sami Trabelsi insists they are focused on neutralising the Super Eagles feared attack, it has been reported in the media.
The Nigerian team boasts some of the finest forwards in Africa, including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon.
The quartet was impressive in Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Tanzania on Tuesday night.
As Lookman netted Nigeria’s second goal, a sublime effort from inside the box. While Osimhen posed a constant threat to the Tanzanian defence, and Simon impressed from the bench.
This is even as the Super Eagles can depend on the likes of Chidera Ejuke and Paul Onuachu.
Against all odds however, Trabelsi has expressed faith in the ability of his wards to tame the Super Eagles’ potent strike force, working as a close-knitted team.
“We are a team known for a collective approach at all levels, both defensively and offensively.
“We will deal with all the players, and all the stars present in the Africa Cup of Nations with the same discipline,” he told a press conference on Friday.
Today’s fixture in Group C is
a Winners vs Winners and Losers vs. Losers showdown; also in Group D, as teams battle to either secure their knockout spot or fight for survival.
