The APC says “Eid-el-Kabir commemorates the extraordinary act of faith, obedience, and total submission demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice what was most precious to him in obedience to the command of Almighty Allah.
“The celebration therefore transcends mere festivities; it represents profound lessons of sacrifice, devotion, humility, perseverance, compassion, and unwavering trust in God.
“This sacred occasion serves as a powerful reminder to all citizens, irrespective of religious or social backgrounds, that true progress and nation-building require sacrifice, commitment, and collective responsibility.
“It teaches us the importance of placing the common good above personal interests, extending love and support to one another, and fostering peaceful coexistence within our communities.
“As Muslim faithful commemorate this important celebration, we urge everyone to imbibe and reflect on the values and lessons that Eid-el-Kabir represents.
“At a time when our nation continues to navigate various socio-economic and developmental challenges, the spirit of sacrifice and unity remains critical in strengthening our bonds as a people and advancing our collective aspirations.
“The APC Edo State Chapter therefore calls on citizens to use this period to promote peace, tolerance, brotherhood, and mutual understanding.
“We encourage all residents to continue to pray for the peace, stability, and sustained development of Edo State and Nigeria, while remaining committed to values that unite us as one people.
“As families and communities gather to celebrate, we also remind our people to extend acts of kindness to the less privileged, the vulnerable, and those in need, as sharing and compassion remain central to the essence of Eid-el-Kabir.
“On behalf of the leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State Chapter, we pray that Almighty Allah accepts our sacrifices and prayers, blesses our homes with peace and joy, grants our dear State and nation greater progress, and bestows upon us continued unity and prosperity.“
Eid Mubarak to all our Muslim brothers and sisters!
