The Nigeria Super Falcons have dominated the Africa female football scene like a Colossus and they are 10 times Champion being the reigning holder of the trophy.
But contrary to all expectations and permutations of fans, and pundits, on Tuesday, in Rabat, ts . he debutantes; the Malawi nBzz z jational female team humbled the almighty Super falcons 3-2 in their opening game.
Disappointed, the result have been trailed with expression of frustration and all manner of criticism from home.
Therefore, going into the second game against the Zambia female team; a lot of fear and doubts about their ability to overcome a team that had praeviously defeated Egypt 6-0, hangs in the air.
The Super Falcons are up against the same Zambia female team today; Saturday, at 9p.m.
On this premise, some Nigerians particularly those in the administration of football have sent messages of encouragement. “You can make it!”

The Super Falcons have earned the trust, admiration, and unwavering respect of Nigerians through decades of excellence, resilience, and an enduring commitment to our nation’s colours.
They are champions not only because of the trophies they have won, but because of the character, courage, and determination they have consistently displayed every time they step onto the pitch in service of Nigeria.
The result against Malawi was undoubtedly disappointing. It was not the outcome the team worked tirelessly for, nor the result millions of Nigerians had hoped to celebrate.
However, I can say with absolute confidence that no one feels this disappointment more deeply than the players and the technical crew themselves.
They understand the heavy weight of the green and white jersey, and they carry the hopes of an entire nation with immense pride and responsibility.
One singular result does not diminish the quality of this team, the purpose that brought them to Morocco, or the belief of a nation that has stood firmly behind them.

They arrived at this championship focused, committed, and determined to achieve two vital objectives: securing Nigeria’s qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup and reclaiming the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title for a record-extending eleventh time.

What defines true champions is not the absence of setbacks, but the sheer strength of their response.
