

• Pegs Presidential form at N100m

As the momentum of activities towards the 2027 general election increases, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule.
In a statement issued on Monday night, 20 April, by Sulaiman Argungu, the APC’s national organising secretary, the ruling party listed the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms, and other elective positions.
Presidential aspirants are to pay the sum of N70m and N30m for nomination and expression of interest forms respectively; making N100m.
For the governorship ticket, the Party fixed the expression of interest form at N10m and the nomination form at N40m respectively, making it N50m.
Senate aspirants are to pay N3m for the expression of interest form and N17m for the nomination form, totalling N20m.
While those seeking to go to the House of representatives will pay N1m and N9m respectively; totalling N10m.
For the State House of Assembly, the expression of interest form is pegged at N1m, while the nomination form costs N5m, total; N6m.
The Party however granted a little waver to female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities; they are required to pay the full expression of interest fee and 50 percent of the nomination fee, it stated.
Timetable for Primaries
Further, it said its presidential primary will be held on May 15 and 16, followed by the House of representatives on May 18, while the senate is on May 20, and the state House of Assembly is on May 21, with the governorship primaries on May 23.
