“According to the rent law in Ghana, no Landlord has the right to sit at will and charge whatever he wants to charge unless the Rent Control Department comes in, does an assessment, gives you a certificate of assessment and until after the certificate of assessment has been issued, you can't increase rent.''

Strait of Hormuz back in operation; Iran open route to friendly nation

Iran’s government has sent mixed signals about the status of the Strait of Hormuz. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated: “The route is open, but closed to our enemies.” Closure would hit China, Iran’s largest trading partner and only remaining oil customer, and harm its oil-exporting Arab neighbors, who are at least officially supporting it in its war with Israel. And it would mean blocking Oman’s territorial waters, offending a country that has served as a mediator between the U.S. and Iran.

India rescue operation: 15 men still trapped in illegal mine

Rescue workers in the Indian state of Meghalaya are trying to save the lives of 15 coal miners who have been trapped in an illegal mine for more than two weeks. The teenage miners went into the illegal coal mine in the north-east Indian state of Meghalaya on December 13, but got trapped soon after when the mine's tunnel was flooded by a nearby river. They have been without food or drinking water ever since. The government is under fire for its slow response to the rescue operation....
